  My deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to Jürgen’s family and loved ones.

  I knew Jürgen as a colleague through ISoP and had the pleasure of meeting him regularly at the ISoP Annual Meetings. My last memory of him is from our recent meeting in San José, where we shared a very friendly conversation over breakfast. He was, as always, genuinely curious, warm and engaging, and I especially remember how fondly and proudly he spoke about his family, especially his daughter who can speak czech, as I am from Prague.

  I feel very fortunate to have known him and to have shared these moments with him. He will be remembered with great respect and affection.

  My thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time.

  Dear Family Beckmann,

  My condolences for Jürgen’s loss. I had the opportunity to work with him in his most recent project about the WHO-ISoP Pharmacovigilance Curriculum. He was a very knowledgeable and kind person.
  He will be profoundly missed.
  Jürgen and you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
